Biography

I've been drawing since I could hold a pencil and enjoyed art classes as an extra-curricular activity after school throughout my childhood. I went on to study graphic design at North West University in Potchefstroom where a particular love for art history was discovered.  (I did NOT enjoy Graphic Design, I am NOT tidy enough and not nearly as interested in computers as I should have been!) 
After various travels and adventures, mainly in teaching English and Art to high school students, I married and settled in Durban where I started studying oil painting with the artist John Smith.
I have taken part in various group exhibitions in and around Durban as well as the well-known art fair at the Hilton Arts Festival in the Midlands.
Currently I live with my husband and two children in Alphen aan den Rijn in The Netherlands.
I am in awe of the New American Realists and the Northern Boys in England amongst others! 

I particularly enjoy seeing the works of the great masters in all the wonderful galleries in The Netherlands: from the Impressionists to Rembrandt van Rijn and everyone in between!
